Cosplay Programming

Our cosplay programming track is full of events for you to have fun and learn over the entire weekend.  We have gatherings all weekend long along with educational panels to help you learn more about making outfits and props.  We will also have a few workshops over the weekend that will allow you to make a piece of a costume in the panel while you are taught by one of our workshop instructors.

We are also happy to announce that we are the new location for the Soutwest regionals for the World Cosplay Summit.  The event will be held on Monday 9/1 and will be completely separate from the Masquerade, which will be held on Sunday.  To see more about the WCS please check out it's event page here.

Our masquerade is the largest in Arizona and has some of the best outfits and skits around, don't miss your chance to participate in the masquerade.  Registration will open on July 1st and space is limited so please make sure to sign up online as if we reach capacity we will not have any at-convention registration.

"Christophe" Chris Tang

"Christophe" Chris Tang is a convention favorite, known for his multi-talented accomplishments as a cosplayer, video game designer, and competitive gaming champion.
With over 40 awards in costume competitions and appearances in magazines and on TV, his creations are often empowered with lights, moving wings, transformations, and other fun action features! Highlights include "Hero Suit" Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny, Battlized SPD Red Power Ranger, Transforming Autobot Smokescreen WRX, Gundam Epyon, Sportacus, Captain Commando, and Battle Armor Cobra Commander. Contributing to top franchises such as "Street Fighter", "Marvel Vs. Capcom", "Transformers", and "Tetris", he's done everything from game design, game play implementation and story writing, to voice directing and voice acting. After serving as lead designer on a PS4 project for Sony, he continues his work as an indie game developer to create games and experiences that fans will love!
When not creating for the future, Chris keeps the spirit of the classics alive as the yearly announcer for the Tetris World Championships. He is featured in several gaming movies and film productions including "The Gamer Age", and the award-winning "Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters". He can also be seen as a cosplayer on season 2 of HBO's hit TV series "Entourage", and on various "Tiger & Bunny" video releases.
In his spare time he enjoys building gadgets, hi-res gaming rigs, and modifying and building experimental game controllers. At Saboten Con, he excitedly looks forward to adding to his cuddly collection of cute plush cats, and hanging out with his fellow fans!

Living Ichigo

Living Ichigo began cosplaying in 2009 and has won multiple awards, been featured in various publications and has been a guest at both local and international events. When he isn't cosplaying, you can find him at the gym following a very strict workout regimen. Living Ichigo was motivated to get in shape in an attempt to look more like the characters he wanted to cosplay – strong, ripped guys like Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach and Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Living Ichigo's ensuing transformation now inspires thousands of fans to work towards improving their own health and wellness while having fun cosplaying. In addition to cosplay, Living Ichigo loves anime, comics and video games and can be found livestreaming on Twitch TV.

Giada Robin

Giada Pancaccini is an Italian cosplayer and promotional model since 2008.  She has a great passion for animes, mangas, movies and videogames, but also for acting, modeling and making things like sewing or working with different materials.

So, she fell in love with cosplay at the first sight, because she could put all these things together.  She started cosplaying at “Lucca Comics & Games 2008”, where she won the official “One Piece Italian Cosplay Contest” performing Nico Robin (Alabasta version). Rewarded by Takashi Yoshiike from TOEI ANIMATION (Eiichiro Oda’s collaborator – Art Director of OP movies and some parts of the anime), she continued her adventure in the magic world of cosplay under the name of “Giada Robin” to remember her first time and great experience.

After that she went to a lot of conventions, knowing a lot of people and winning other important prizes in contests, she became a very popular cosplayer and she began to be judge and guest in several cosplay-comics-games events in her country and around Europe.

Since 2011 she is also organizer and official conductor of “PLAY-COS”, the great cosplay event inside “Modena PLAY”, the most important convention of gamers in Italy.

Then she joined a lot of international projects for magazines, calendars and charities, becoming even more popular abroad too (she is the most famous Italian cosplayer in the world).

She recently has been selected as Italian representative for CWM (Cosplay World Master) 2012/2013 and now she is still collaborating for some international projects like for example “Calendario Cosplay in Costa Rica”, with other international cosplayers.

She likes traveling, meeting people and sharing her passion.
