We are excited that you want to be a volunteer for our great convention. The convention would not be successful without our amazing volunteers. Volunteering for a convention gives you an opportunity to see how a convention works from the inside and also gives you a feeling of great accomplishment when the area you are volunteering in has a successful event. We pride ourselves in training up a great core staff that at one point started just like you as a volunteer.

Volunteer benefits

  • If you work 4 hours you will get a free pass to the convention on the day you are working. This will allow you to work your 4 hours then enjoy the rest of the day at the convention for free.
  • If you work 8 hours you will get a free pass to the convention on the day(s) you are working, just like the 4 hour benefits. You will also get a convention t-shirt and a meal pass
  • If you work 12 hours or more you will get a free full event pass to the convention, a free convention t-shirt, convention pin and 2 meal passes.

Registration process

Once registration is open you can use the link provided below to submit your information into our volunteer database. You will receive an automated email thanking you for your submission and that if you are chosen for a position you will be contacted via email. To see selection dates please look above in the timeline area. If you have questions while you are waiting for selection you can email volunteer@sabotencon.com and they will answer any of your questions.

Open Staff Positions

Position Description Manager to Inquire
Band Manager *NEW* The band manager will help with all the bands that are going to be attending the convention. This will include working with each band to make sure the correct equipment is available, that they know when their performances are, and helping on site to keep all performances on time. This will include trouble shooting audio equipment and helping keep bands on schedule. volunteer@sabotencon.com
Sound technicians *NEW* The sound technician helps keep all the sound equipment in the programming rooms working properly. They will troubleshoot mixer issues, help panelists connect their computers to the sound systems, and help keep our programming on track and successful. Want to have a fun, fast paced day at the convention where you get to fix projectors and other equipment? If so, then this is the job for you! volunteer@sabotencon.com
Light technicians *NEW* The light technician will help with all major events that require lighting. This will include the masquerade, dances, band performances, etc. This is a fast paced job that will have you working very closely with panelists and guests. volunteer@sabotencon.com
Gaming Manager *NEW* The Gaming Manager will help in the coordination and scheduling of all gaming events. This will include working with our gaming vendors to setup room layouts and programming schedules. volunteer@sabotencon.com
