I am looking for a plastic material that would be good for constructing armor. There is some type that I'm aware comes in sheets and can be cut and molded relatively easily. Any have any tips or pointers with making armor. I'd REALLY like to avoid working with fiber glass again.
I never leave home without my party cannon!

Look for "expanded PVC" You can heat it and put simple shapes into it with a heat gun. There are some plastic shops in AZ that carry it (also possibly sign shops).

I made a basic tutorial on DA:

If you have something more complex and are willing to drop th money, also look into Worbla. I've seen amazing things made with it and it's pretty easy to work with - again, just your (protected) hands and a heat gun is all you need!
