What is the difference between this and if you enter as a skit in the masquerade?

The Skit Contest is a contest for those who want to perform skits and not be judged on anything else except for the performance.

The first paragraph of the Skit Contest rules say it best: "The Saboten Con Skit Contest is a skit competition. The Skit Contest is open to those who enjoy performing in front of an audience (lip-synching, dancing, acting, etc.) and allows a longer time limit per entry than the Saboten Con’s Masquerade. There will be no craftsmanship judging in this contest. Costumes may be purchased, commissioned, rentals or handmade. " www.sabotencon.com/skit-contest

Costumes for the Masquerade must be of Japanese origin and 80% of the costume must be handmade. There is craftsmanship judging for the Masquerade for those who want to be judged and different skill divisions. Costumes for the Skit Contest can be made, purchased, rented, etc. The Skit Contest also allows costumes from western cartoons, television, movies, etc. There are also no skill levels for the Skit Contest.

Skits for the Skit Contest can be longer and have larger groups then the Masquerade. The Skit Contest also accepts less entries than the Masquerade.

Each contest also has different prizes available.
